About the Opportunity


A well-established and highly regarded law firm in Staffordshire is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join its growing and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with strong experience in matrimonial finance who is looking to develop their career within a collaborative and client-focused practice.


The firm places significant importance on finding someone who shares its values and approach to client care. Personality, professionalism and the ability to work as part of a close-knit team are considered just as important as technical experience.

Solicitors who enjoy handling a mixed caseload of matrimonial finance and private children matters are also encouraged to apply.


The Role

You will manage your own varied caseload, primarily consisting of matrimonial finance matters, with the opportunity to undertake private children work if desired. You will provide clear, pragmatic advice to clients while maintaining the highest standards of client service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of matrimonial finance matters from instruction through to conclusion.
  • Advising clients on financial settlements following relationship breakdown.
  • Conducting negotiations and drafting legal documentation.
  • Representing clients throughout proceedings where appropriate.
  • Handling private children matters as part of a mixed caseload (if preferred).
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing positively to the wider team.


Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Qualified Solicitor with approximately 3 years' PQE or above (applications from candidates with different levels of experience will also be considered).
  • Solid experience in matrimonial finance.
  • Experience in private children matters would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • Strong organisational and case management abilities.
  • A proactive, personable and collaborative approach.
  • A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
