Alexander James Recruiting are currently representing a well-established, expanding specialist vehicle manufacturing company, that is looking to bring on an Operations Manager to oversee the production of their products from their head office in the West Midlands. With a competitive salary and overall package, this is a great opportunity for an individual with a background in overseeing the production process within a specialist vehicle manufacturing business.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n * Managing the operations/production team from the company’s factory in the West Midlands\n\n * Ensuring the optimal use of resources to deliver high-quality vehicles on time and within budget\n\n * Driving the efficiency of operations and ensuring that continuous improvement is a part of the team’s culture\n\n * Overseeing production, quality, planning, stock control and facilities management within the operations department\n\n * Setting annual budgets and being responsible for the overall P & L for the operations department\n\n * Writing monthly reports and carrying out all related and necessary administrative tasks\n\nRequirements\n\nThe company have a preference for an individual with experience of working in a senior operations management position within a specialist vehicle manufacturing environment. This experience can come from a number of industries such as Commercial Vehicles, Material Handling, Construction Equipment or similar.
It is also an expectation that you can demonstrate previous success within a similar position and have strong management skills. The role will require you to be both highly analytical and determined to hit KPI’s.
