Payments Sales - Head of FinTech Sales, Europe - Executive Director

The Europe FIG Sales team is responsible for managing client relationships and driving new business with Financial Institutions and Non-Bank Financial Institutions across the region.

\n

As a Head of FinTech Executive Director within the Europe FIG Sales team, you will act as the regional lead for FinTech, with end‑to‑end responsibility for strategy, client coverage, and revenue delivery across the segment. You will define the growth agenda, build senior client relationships, and position the firm as a leading partner to the European FinTech ecosystem.

The role reports to the Head of Financial Institutions Group (FIG), Europe.

Job Responsibilities\n

• Own and lead the FinTech business across Europe, setting the segment strategy, priorities, and go-to-market approach - Segment Leadership (FinTech – Europe).
\n
• Deliver segment-level revenue targets, driving new business origination, pipeline development, and expansion of existing client relationships (Revenue Ownership).
\n
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across FinTech clients, acting as a trusted advisor on payments, liquidity, and platform strategy (Senior Client Coverage)
\n
• Lead complex, multi-product sales across the region, including structuring, pricing, negotiation, and execution of strategic deals (Sales Execution)
\n
• Define client coverage model and account plans, increasing share of wallet through cross-sell of Payments, liquidity, FX, and broader firm capabilities (Portfolio Management)
\n
• Drive thought leadership across the European FinTech ecosystem, representing the firm at industry events and influencing internal strategy based on market trends (Market Leadership)
\n
• Partner with Product, Coverage, and other Lines of Business to deliver integrated client solutions and align on strategic opportunities (Cross Line of Business Coordination)
\n
• Ensure strong governance across the portfolio, including oversight of KYC, AML, and onboarding requirements in line with firm standards (Risk & Controls)
\n
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the FinTech sales team, supporting talent development and contributing to broader FIG Sales leadership (Team Leadership)

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills\n

• Significant experience in Payments Sales or Financial Institutions coverage
\n
• Strong track record of owning and growing a client segment or business line
\n
• Deep understanding of the FinTech ecosystem and payments landscape
\n
• Proven ability to build senior client relationships and originate complex deals
\n
• Strong commercial acumen, including pricing and deal structuring
\n
• Leadership experience, with ability to influence across regions and functions
\n
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
\n

• Experience leading a sector, segment, or regional business within Financial Services

• Knowledge of European regulatory landscape impacting FinTech and Payments

• Experience working with digital platforms, embedded finance, or API-driven models
